About.
We believe that everyone has a unique and impactful story to share.
We understand that the idea of writing a book—or even a chapter, a scene, a page—can be both exhilarating and overwhelming. We at Creative Passages Writers Retreat are here to motivate, guide, and support you.
Whether you are a seasoned writer looking for a reset, or someone who has always wanted to write but isn’t sure how or where to begin, our community is designed for you. Join us in a nurturing environment, free from distractions, to focus entirely on alchemizing the dreams and ideas you’ve been carrying on the inside by putting them to the page.
Through a series of workshops, group discussions, one-on-one sessions, and “chill time,” we'll explore the many facets and details of your lived and imagined experiences, find in them the universal threads, and help you give voice to all you are ready to express.
Writing your story is not just about words, finding the right ones, and putting them in the right order. Writing your story is about camaraderie and vulnerability, risk-taking and visualization, truth and personal growth. So, welcome to the Creative Passages Writers Retreat! We are thrilled to be a part of your journey.

About the Leaders
Christine Fadden
When I was getting my MFA—working primarily on fiction—I would finish my pages and then I swear, events or conversations from these worlds I had just made up would happen in real life. Not all the time, but often enough to make me believe in that old writing myth where your characters take on a life of their own and start telling you what to write. If only they could then tell us how to write! The point is—whether you are writing fiction or nonfiction—magic happens when you carve out time for your imagination and memory to play, pay attention to detail, and aim for the truth. Writing is a challenge, whether you are working on a haiku or a book. But with wonder and a letting go of your inner critic, you move into a flow state and paths open up. Now, to choose.
Eileen Robertson Hamra
I love telling a good story! However, writing a book was not something I ever thought I would do. Public speaking is easier for me than putting words on a page and I still avoid writing if I can. The idea of being an author didn’t arise until after losing my husband in a plane crash in December 2011. In the months following his death, I shared with close family and friends all the ‘miracles’ and spiritual growth I was experiencing. I began to hear, over and over again, “You should write a book.” I answered the call, said yes, and began my authoring journey. It took seven years and many guides and teachers along the way. In early 2018, I had finally lived the story I needed to share and developed the perspective I needed to be able to share it. This is when I sought out my final book partner and was introduced to Christine. Learn more about my authoring journey and map out your own, with us, at our retreat.
